Interfaith Work on Climate Change

Southern Oregon Climate Action Now invites you to join them in their monthly meeting June 28 on Zoom for a presentation and discussion about faith communities engaging in the movement to curb the impacts of climate change.

Join the hour long meeting to hear a presentation from Cherice Bock, a Creation Justice Advocate from Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon and Oregon Interfaith Power & Light

From SOCAN: “All over the country, faith communities are increasingly getting involved in climate action.  These efforts are varied, ranging from concerted efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to providing support to frontline communities, framed from an ethical or spiritual perspective.  Come hear an overview of faith-based climate action underway in Oregon and elsewhere, and discuss how Southern Oregon climate activists may help stimulate additional faith-based action in our region.”

Submitted by SOCAN Elections always have consequences. This is especially the case for our potential to address the climate crisis when some candidates for office accept the science of global warming and it climate change consequences while others display something between skepticism and outright rejection of science.
