Weekly Silent Vigil for Peace in the Middle East

A silent, non-violent vigil in the Quaker tradition, for peace in Palestine, and for the end of US taxpayer support for bombs takes place every Friday.
Wear black if possible. Signs welcome.

Find us on the corner of Barnett and Highland near the south Medford exit from I-5. There is ample parking behind the People’s Bank building at that intersection. We’ll stand kitty-corner to the bank building.

Southern Oregon Peace Vets monthly meeting for September

SOPV has invited the 20 veterans, who plan to enter their artworks in SOPV’s Veterans Art Show in December at the KS Wild office, to have dinner with SOPV members prior to our regular monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 14th. The dinner will be held at 5 pm in the Clubhouse of Rogue Valley South mobile home park, 4624 S. Pacific Hwy, Phoenix, OR, a little south of downtown Phoenix. Veterans who consider themselves peace vets are welcome to join us at the dinner and for the SOPV business/planning meeting that will follow the dinner.

Everyone can dance! For 40 years, Ashlanders and friends have gathered at the historic Community Center on Winburn Way in Lithia Park, for an invigorating evening of simple and fun dances to music from around the world!
The vining begins with an hour of teaching/review by experienced dancers, followed by an hour of circle, line, and couple dance to music from Eastern Europe, Eurasia, and around the world!
