Float the Rogue River through downtown Grants Pass\, Oregon from Baker Park to Schroeder Park on Saturday\, July 2. \nJoin us for a non-motorized day on the water and a party at the take-out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act. Shuttle service will be available. \nTickets: $25/person or $10 for children 12 or younger (the fee helps cover event costs including insurance\, food\, non-alcoholic drink\, facility rental\, and shuttle back). GF and vegan food options will be available. Shuttle service will pick people up at Schroeder Park and bring them back to their car at Baker Park but the shuttle will not be able to carry boats. DESCRIPTION:KS Wild invites you to their 5th Annual Eight Dollar Mountain Stewardship Event. \nThis event aims to help repair damage and protect the botanical diversity in this rare serpentine landscape on Memorial Day weekend. The group will be working together with the Forest Service in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest\, Wild Rivers District. They will offer a short talk about safety and botanical significance. We will then split into work groups (if needed) and begin restoration projects. Expect low to moderate intensity hiking\, digging and lifting. We will be cleaning up the botanical kiosk sign\, repairing buck and rail fencing\, signage installation and repairs as needed\, cleaning up trash and doing a photo assessment and GPS documentation of all signages and areas of concern. \nPort-o-Potties\, water and snacks will be available during the day. We look forward to working along side you to encourage the responsible use and protection of the natural environment through conservation and sustainable practices! This event is open to all\, no matter your ability or background in restoration! We invite you to come learn and spend time enjoying our public lands with your neighbors and friends.
