5G concerns – Stop 5G transmitters from being put on private homes in your neighborhood

The FCC plans to amend an old Over-The-Air-Reception-Device (OTARD) rule to allow wireless companies to place 5G transmitters on private homes in your neighborhood, with no notice, no hearing, no opportunity for you to do anything about it. The FCC is supposed to work for the people, not the wireless companies.

PLEASE MAKE THESE THREE Communications:

First, If you have not yet called Congressman Frank Pallone (Chair of the House Committee on Energy & Commerce) please call early this next week to strongly protest the FCC misuse of the OTARD rule.

Ask Congressman Pallone to hold hearings on this newest FCC overreach.

Talking points from Americans for Responsible Technology: 1.The OTARD (Over-The-Airways-Reception-Device) rule should not be changed to allow wireless companies to put their 5G antennas on private homes. 2.The FCC should not be using taxpayer dollars for the benefit of wireless companies, pushing a new technology that has never been proven safe. 3.The FCC’s wireless radiation exposure guidelines are based on research from the 1980s and consider only thermal effects, not the biological effects documented in recent studies.

Second,  Call our own U.S. Oregon senators and deliver the same message.

Senator Jeff Merkley 541 608-9102

Senator Ron Wyden 541 858-5122

Third, email the Ashland City Council to let them know you want stricter telecommunications ordinances that will protect citizens from unregulated and untested 5G small cell antennae.
