The data is clear that our population does not require a 900-bed Jail with zero services for addiction or mental health at a huge increase in taxes to property owners of Jackson County. Compare the population of the counties in Oregon with the size of their jails and you will see how oversized this proposal is. Do we really need a jail the same size as Portland? Please see attached data sheets that clearly map out the county jails and the population throughout the state of Oregon provided by Unite Oregon.

Oppose the Jackson County Jail proposal at the Jackson County Commissioners meeting Wednesday, Feb. 5, 9 am.
10 S. Oakdale Ave, Medford
Spread the word come and join community allies such as Unite Oregon, the Rogue Action Center, NAMI, CAT, Labor and more as we fill the commissioners meeting with the concerned citizens of Jackson County. The goal is to  Pack the House and have standing room only and have our voices heard with public testimony and a physical presence.
For those of us that work and cannot be there on a workday to testify, please email the commissioners your thoughts about the jail.
