So far, six children and dozens of adults have died in U.S. immigration custody. ICE continues to hold children and families in family jails with confirmed COVID-19 cases. By holding these families in unsanitary jails — which Dolly Gee, a federal judge, described as “on fire” — ICE is cruelly playing with their lives.
As COVID 19 cases continue to rapidly rise across the country, it is important now more than ever to ensure that children are safe and secure with the people who love them.
