This presentation is very timely, as the City of Ashland is preparing to embark on an update to our state-mandated Transportation System Plan. This plan will set the course for our community for years to come. And, with critical targets looming for reducing our greenhouse gas emissions — including targets that the citizens of Ashland pushed for and succeeded in getting officially adopted — we need to move forward now with strategies to reduce our fossil fuel consumption on every level of society.
At the Aug. 19 program, the Ashland Climate Action Project and Ashland Bicycle Advocacy Project will officially launch our campaign to advocate for these strategies.
