Rogue Valley Bird Day

8:00 am - 12:00 pm
May 14

North Mountain Park Nature Center

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Rogue Valley Bird Day is returning to the North Mountain Park Nature Center on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to noon.

This free, all-ages event is a local celebration of World Migratory Bird Day, which highlights migratory birds and offers community members an opportunity to learn about the birds visiting their own backyards.

The event, held every May, will include games, contests, and a live bird exhibit hosted by Wildlife Images. Bird walks, hosted by expert birders from the Rogue Valley Audubon Society, will leave regularly from the Nature Center pavilion and end at the bird-banding station hosted by the Klamath Bird Observatory.

This year’s theme focuses on the impacts of light pollution, encouraging humans to “dim the lights for birds at night”. Learn more about the event at RogueValleyBirdDay.net.
