Film Screening: A House of Dynamite

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
November 20

Peace House

Members of the Prevent War Group at Peace House are hosting a watch party for A House of Dynamite, the newest film from director Katherine Bigelow. The most-viewed film on Netflix when it debuted last month, it depicts in realistic detail what would happen if our warning systems detected a single nuclear-armed missile launched by an unknown adversary heading toward Chicago.

With the last remaining bi-lateral treaty between the U.S. and Russia—the New START Treaty—set to expire on February 5, 2026, the risk of a renewed offensive nuclear arms race and thus of a nuclear holocaust will increase dramatically unless something is done. Come learn about the realities of nuclear risk and connect with others taking action to support renewal of the treaties and nuclear non-proliferation.
