What does it take to choose courage in challenging times? How do we transform fear into meaningful action? Drawing inspiration from local front line activists in the Civil Rights Movement, this panel discussion connects historical courage to the tenuous moment we find ourselves in.

  • Dr. Geneva Craig: Organized and marched with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Dr. John Dolan: Left medical school to join the Freedom Riders
  • Eli Jaxon-Bear: At 18, headed to Montgomery, AL to join Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC)
