Kato: A Film from the Eternal Song Series

2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
May 3

Bellevue Grange

This film, from the nonprofit Science and Nonduality, is presented by Southern Oregon Pachamama Alliance Community (SOPA). Admission is free; donations are accepted. A portion of donations to benefit Indigenous projects in our region and beyond

Kato follows the Munduruku through their decades-long struggle for land and clean water, revealing a world where daily survival is an act of resistance. Refusing to wait for government recognition, the community has taken up the mantle of self-demarcation, putting their bodies on the line to map their own return.  Attendees are invited to stay after the screening for tea, cookies and a group discussion.
