The Prevent War Working Group of Peace House is bringing facilitated discussions to groups that request them. The conversations are part of a larger project to raise public awareness of the UN Treaty to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons. Drafted last year and opened for signatures by the world’s nations on September 20, the treaty is the first to call for the abolition of nuclear weapons. It could come at no better time. The conversations offer participants a way to speak of their experiences living under the threat of nuclear annihilation. They also offer a way for us to act to end that threat once and for all.
