Earth Caretaker Way Book Presents Accessible Actions to Support Nature

When I heard about the book Earth Caretaker Way, I had no idea that its pages would reveal real, physical actions that everyone can take to support healing and connection to our life-giving planet. The book, organized into four sections, provides observations and guidance for individuals and families to take concrete actions that will benefit our shared ecosystems.

Author Tim Cochoran, a lifetime environmental educator, world renowned photographer, and heart-centered teacher, will offer a reading at Bloomsbury Books Monday, January 20, at 7 p.m.

Tim’s relationship with natural systems stems from his deep relationship with birds and their habitats, and has pulled him into many roles. These include managing a wildlife bird sanctuary, photographing endangered species and landscapes, and working with hundreds of young people in his [Wilderness Outdoor School] in Northern California.

In the preface of his book, he writes,

“Now is the time for heroes. It is not a mistake that you have been born during these troubling times. We are all here at this time, on this planet, during this climate crisis to be Earth Caretakers.”

Through his creative teachings in the natural environment, that included personal storytelling and suggested hands-on actions Tim Corcoran has inspired youth for generations to build a personal relationship with nature, to help unveil what we can do to help.

The subtext of his book, and throughout the passages therein includes a luminous invitation:

To allow us to walk backwards into the future and remember what we already know.
