The Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective invites you to attend a virtual conversation between human rights defenders in Colombia including social leaders from the territories who will share their analysis of the electoral context and the current human rights situation in the country. With the presidential elections slated for May 29, the electoral process in Colombia still lacks many guarantees for a secure, transparent, and equitable election. In this virtual conversation, we will hear directly from human rights defenders in Colombia who are on the frontlines of the struggles of peace, justice and grassroots democracy. We will also learn about this years historic elections in Colombia and the intersection with the current human rights situation in the country. Join us via zoom on April 21, 2022 at 6pm CT/7pm ET.
