The residents of Hiroshima were bombed at 8:15 a.m. local time the morning of August 6th, 1945. This is why each year we gather at 8 a.m., taking a moment of silence at 8:15 to remember the consequences of the bombing and its aftermath, both in Hiroshima and in Nagasaki...

On Nagasaki Day, join us to watch the short film An Ordinary Insanity (starring Daniel Ellsberg), then discuss the ongoing threat from nuclear weapons, and learn about opportunities to take action right here in Oregon—including campaigns to stop uranium and other weapons-related mining projects.

A silent, non-violent vigil in the Quaker tradition, for peace in Palestine,  and for the end of US taxpayer support for bombs takes place every Friday.
