Southern Oregon Climate Action Now (SOCAN) is working to support K-12 educators in Southern Oregon who want to bring climate education into their classrooms. SOCAN seeks to support K-12 educators by providing science-based resources, professional development, and collaboration opportunities to bring science-based Climate Change Education (CCE) into classrooms across the curriculum and grade levels To do that effectively, we need to hear directly from teachers. Take this short survey to learn more about how educators are thinking about climate change and how we can support them in meeting Oregon’s climate standards. If you’re a teacher, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to share your perspective. Even if you’re not a teacher, you can help by sharing this message to any educators you know. Please complete the survey now so we can use the summer months to shape supportive programming. (SOCAN) is a grassroots, nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to promoting awareness and action on climate change issues in Southern Oregon. Questions? Contact Kathy Conway.
