How Stories Can Save Us: An Evening with Mark Yaconelli

Join the Hearth Community in an evening with Mark Yaconelli as he discusses his new book, Between the Listening and the Telling: How Stories Can Save Us.

Now more than ever we need a teacher and a book such as this.—Anne Lamott, New York Times Best Selling Author

From the Hearth:

There is a depth to story that we rarely take time to ponder, let alone to tell and hear. Story is how we transform pain. Story is how we make something useful out of the absurd. Sharing stories is how we make a home within ourselves and one another. To celebrate the release of Between the Listening and the Telling: How Stories Can Save Us The Hearth presents an enchanting evening of stories with author Mark Yaconelli. Through his work with The Hearth nonprofit, Yaconelli has served communities across the United States and United Kingdom to bridge divisions, heal trauma, shed light on injustice, and recover hope. In this moving exploration, he shows us how we can recover the practice of storytelling to transform our world, our families, and ourselves. Signed copies of Mark Yaconelli’s new book will be available.

Cost is $10 at the door.
