Launee Worldwide: Block Cop City Speaking Tour

Come hear from members of the Defend the Atlanta Forest group working block Cop City in Atlanta, Georgia. On Saturday, Oct 7, at 2 p.m., members of the group will offer a presentation in Williams at the the Sugarloaf Center.

Defend the Atlanta Forest activists are touring the continent in an expansive 70-city speaking tour, with the goal of sharing strategic intelligence from ground zero and preparing hundreds of affinity groups to shut down construction operations at the site through nonviolent direct action. The presentations will serve as an invitation to come to Atlanta Nov 10-13, 2023 for a mass convergence.

Each presentation will contain a portion on the history of the land the city is attempting to build Cop City on, a tactical movement timeline, and welcome collaboration in the next phase of the movement: Block Cop City. There will also be a Q+A portion.

Contact sugarloafcenter@gmail.com about the local event or visit blockcopcity.org for more general information.
