Ecologists and geologists will discuss a geographic landmark east of Ashland and their work protecting it in a Wednesday evening webinar.
Southern Oregon Land Conservancy will highlight the history of Pompadour Bluff and highlight its plans to preserve it during a virtual pub talk titled “What’s Up With the Bluff?” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, via Zoom.
At the webinar, SOLC’s Executive Director Steve Wise and Stewardship Director Kristi Mergenthaler will discuss how the nonprofit was recently bequeathed the landmark now known as the Harry and Marilyn Fisher preserve at Pompadour Bluff and provide updates on the conservation project.
Other guest speakers will include emeritus geology professor Jad D’Allura and Siskiyou BioSurvey Senior Botanist John Villela.
