When reviewing the journey of our lives, we often look for lasting meaning. We may wonder: “How will I be remembered?” Planning a Gift in a Will that will help future generations can bring a sense of peace and joy to these contemplations.

Putting Peace House in your will is one of the most significant and lasting contributions you can make to the cause of peace. In a world in which isolation, tensions and war are increasingly prevalent, you can help to ensure a future in which Peace House works to bring people together both locally and internationally.

Simple Ways to Leave a Legacy Gift

To name a specific amount in your Will, include:

“I give to Peace House of Ashland, Oregon the sum of $__________ to be used in such manner as the Board of Directors of said organization shall, in its sole discretion, determine.”

You can also name the residue of your estate in whole or as a proportion using percentages. The residue is what remains after taxes, administrative expenses and your heirs have received their specific gifts or proportion. An advantage is that as your circumstances change, your Will does not have to be altered, as the proportion remains the same.

To name a percentage of your Estate:

“I bequeath the residue of my Estate (or _% of the residue of my Estate) to Peace House of Ashland, Oregon.”
