Dear Friends,
The election results will have, we know, long-lasting and damaging effects on our country and communities.
We have been thinking about the best way to create community conversations in the face of what is sure to be a challenging era for all of us – nonprofits and humanitarian programs included.
There are so many ways in which we may be sliding back into more racism, discrimination of immigrants and all kinds of black and brown people, activists, journalists, community organizers and more.
This issue of Clear Actions includes examples of responses to the election and how to preserve, create and organize community alliances and effective ways to protect civil rights, free speech, humanitarian structures for taking care of those in our community who are vulnerable.
What are you thinking about?
What can we do to try to protect laws, individuals and the progressive media from being undercut and disassembled over the coming years?
Please send us your thoughts and your interest in forming stronger alliances together.
In the interest of a culture of nonviolence and liberation,
Your Peace House Staff
