In this short talk, Michael Niemann examines the impact of NAFTA and its investor protections on trade relations between the US and Mexico. He then applies the lessons learned to what we can expect from the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, currently being negotiated. Therefore the TPP agreement must be subject to scrutiny by elected representatives and calls on the southern Oregon congressional delegation to reject President Obama’s call for fast-track authorization.
