Because of Uncle Foods Diner, Peace House has long been involved with Ashland’s homeless. Some members of its board and staff have been active in providing shelters in the winter, and especially in helping the city formulate relevant policies. OHRA was formed in 2012 to receive grants from the city, especially for establishing a day center.
