Peace House takes this opportunity to offer sincere words of support to those threatened with racial and cultural violence, including hate crimes targeting the Jewish community. Both locally in Southern Oregon, nationally in the United States, and Internationally, we recognize that anti-semitism fuels actions that leave people feeling vulnerable and at risk of unprovoked violence. Peace House staff and board members, as well as many allies in communities of faith working for peace, extend a heart-filled embrace for those experiencing fear and disenfranchisement, and commit to taking action to help protect and honor Jewish traditions and practices in our local community. Without hesitation, we stand in solidarity with those targeted by ill-conceived conceptions surrounding the rich culture and heritage that our Jewish neighbors embody.
