Peacemaking Through Solidarity in Ukraine

You have probably heard by now that Ashland has a sister city in Ukraine call Sviatohirs’k. We acknowledge the tireless and generous volunteer work of a few Ashlanders who are making the Ashland-Sviatohirs’k Aid Project (ASAP) a huge success. Their efforts support solidarity efforts for a peaceful renewal of the city and humanitarian aid when our Ukrainian neighbors need it most.

Right now ASAP has requested community support to raise money to send an important piece of equipment needed for the cleaning up of trash and debris in  the war torn city: a new dump truck.

While most of the funds have been raised already, the group is trying to find an additional $5000 to complete the procurement of the vehicle.

If you have an ability to help in this effort, please donate through the Ukraine Aid International’s donation page and designate the funds to the Ashland-Sviatohirsk project.
