Letters to the editor are a great way for you to bring attention to the issue of reforming compassionate medical release for incarcerated Oregonians. Let your community know about the benefits passing Senate Bill 520 will bring to Oregon. We encourage you to submit your letter to the editor of your local newspaper(s) to inform your neighbors about this critical issue impacting around 12,000 Oregonians and their families.
Oregon Justice Center drafted a letter of around 200 words which you are welcome to submit as it is or you can also edit the letter to include your own comments. Please keep in mind that letters to the editor should typically be 200 words or fewer to meet newspapers’ requirements for publication.
