PEACE HOUSE

Peace House Mission for publication and promotion of local organizations

For submission of event information to the Peace House weekly publication “Community Updates, Actions & Events”, send to editor@peacehouse.netPlease read the requirements for event submissions.

Below is our guideline for publication:

Peace House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to:

  • feeding the hungry
  • fostering nonviolent activism that promotes a culture of peace
  • protecting and promoting social and economic justice
  • preserving our natural resources
  • sending books to prisoners
  • promoting diversity, nondiscrimination, racial equity
  • advocating for human and civil rights here and abroad with an emphasis on Latin America
  • providing information on current events, activities and issues
Our weekly publication “Community Updates, Actions & Events” is a community service that highlights events and organizations involved with the kinds of activism described above.
While we rent rooms to many different organizations that promote nonviolence, due to political, spiritual or cultural orientation they may not appropriately fall into the categories of activism listed above.
The publication is not intended to promote all of the organizations or individuals that rent space at Peace House. If we determine that an organization directly promotes activities within our scope, we will include their event.
Thank you for your consideration of these criteria.
If you have any questions about this, please send them to editor@peacehouse.net.
