The Peace Wave – In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

The Peace Wave:

The ceremony opened at 8 a.m. and included a message from the local faith community, then the ringing of the gong at 8:15 and the Global Minute of Silence. A proclamation from the City of Ashland was read by one of the City Council members. Then there was a water ceremony. At the close—approximately 8:30 a.m. PDT—those in attendance did the Peace Wave.
