Update: New Shelter Up and Running Until April

The city-owned building at 2200 Ashland Street has opened its doors to people seeking shelter until April 1, 2025. Rogue Retreat staff will manage the shelter and will house up to 14 people sleeping every night, with the help of volunteers who will serve donated meals throughout the duration of the three month program. People have gone to great lengths to make this happen.

Additional services have also launched to support immediate needs for a growing number of unhoused residents of Ashland. New storage facilities at the Night Lawn camping area are in the planning stages and will allow people to store their items in secured shelter, on site.

Other helpful resources for those living on the street include the weekend opening of a weather shelter room at the Ashland public library, which also supplies volunteer-provided breakfast Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to noon.
